CIANOTIPIA

Últimamente estoy entusiasmada experimentando con la cianotipia. 

Se trata de una técnica fotográfica inventada por Sir John Herschel en 1842, pero fue una alumna de Herschel, Anna Atkins , quien popularizó este procedimiento fotográfico
creando la série de libros " British Algae". Esta série de libros están considerados como 
los primeros libros ilustrados completamente con fotografías.

Descubrí la cianotipia hace aproximadamente un año gracias a la gran artista Nuria Ferriol. Pero no ha sido hasta hace un par de semanas que no me he lanzado.

Es una técnica muy simple (una vez que ya tienes los productos químicos y determinados
materiales). Se obtienen rápidamente unos resultados sorprendentes y de una gran belleza en tonos azules. Produce imágenes muy evocadoras.

Eso sí, os recomiendo realizar esta técnica cuando brilla el sol. Y no hacer como yo, que después de tanto tiempo queriendo experimentar con este procedimiento, me he decidido a empezar cuando ha hecho el peor tiempo de todo el invierno. 

Intentaré en breve realizar un pequeño tutorial del proceso.

Lately, I am excited to experimenting with the cyanotype. 

It is a photographic technique invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842, but was a student of Herschel, Anna Atkins, who popularized this procedure fotograficocreando the book "British Algae" series. This series of books are regarded as the first book illustrated with photographs.

I discovered the cyanotype approximately a year thanks to the great artist Nuria Ferriol. But it was not until a couple of weeks ago I've not released.I t is a very simple technique (once you already have chemicals and materials). It produces very evocative images and  surprising results of beautiful in shades of blue. 

 I recommend performing this technique when the sun is shining : I decided to start when it made the worst time of all winter!
